    Wildlife Counts: Introduction to spider identification. 18th August, 2.00 – 4.00pm. Manx Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve at Ballachurry Wetland, near Port Erin (SC210694). Spend a couple of hours with Kate Hawkins looking for spiders in their natural habitats and learn some identification tips for some of the more easily recognisable species. Not suitable for young children.

    The Ayres National Nature Reserve is a beautiful spot to go looking for lizards, and why not look at the sea birds from the bird observatory tower there are usually gannets putting on a fabulous diving display. Watch out for the leaping grasshoppers as you walk along the paths on the lichen heathland here. It’s a truly magical spot come and explore it with us.
