Manx Wildlife Week – Invertebrate group drop-in event – Meet the Minibeasts

Meet the Minibeasts. Drop in to the Manx Museum to see the Island’s smallest inhabitants up close and learn about their world. The Isle of Man invertebrate group will be on hand to demonstrate how to look at amazing creatures through microscopes and talk about where they live and what they do. Date: 4th May 2024. Time: any time between 1.30 and 4.00pm.

About the event

1.30pm – 4.00pm in the Seminar room at the Manx Museum, Douglas to look at some invertebrates found by the invertebrate group, including live specimens. Some specimens from the Museum’s invertebrate collections will also be on display, kindly provided by the Curator of Natural History.

Parking may be available in the Manx Museum car park. Otherwise, the multi-storey car park on Finch Road or nearby street parking is advised.

Information for access: the Seminar Room is on the first floor of the Museum and is accessible via the stairs next to the reception desk. A lift is available on request and operated by museum staff, who will also be able to encourage visitors to join the event and point them in the right direction.
