Know before you go:

Scarlett is a shore-land area with natural beauty, interesting geological attributes and significant historical features such as the disused quarry and the lime kilns. Limestone rocky outcroppings are well known for housing fossils of ammonites and crinoids. Open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons 2pm to 5pm.

Precise Location: Site is located south of Castletown at the end of Queen Street.

Parking:Parking is available on a loose chippings layby on Queen Street before the Nature Discovery Centre and quarry pond (///lodgings.eventual.baskets).

The general area is flat. Rocky areas can be slippery when wet. The quarry is deep and the cliffs high so extreme caution must be given when walking around this area.
