Love Tech Wildlife Challenge: MWT Hairpin Woodland Park

The charity Love Tech, with Manx Wildlife Trust and UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man, is encouraging young people to get outside and explore in nature this summer via the Love Tech Wildlife Challenge.

Visit eight sites, take a pledge and enter our fantastic competition (entry form at the bottom of this page!)

Know before you go:

MWT Hairpin Woodland Park is the gateway to the Ramsey Forest, which is a long-term Manx Wildlife Trust project to encourage the naturally expanding woodland cover between Ramsey and Sulby. Previously a plantation, many natural seeded trees now join treelings planted by MWT to generate the island's first national forest.

Precise Location: Site is located on the A18 mountain road south of Ramsey at the Ramsey hairpin corner.

Parking:Parking for approximately a dozen cars is available at the roadside carpark at the hairpin corner on A18 road. ///wakeful.honest.valued

Sections of the woodland park are steep, however, there are some lower paths with only a small incline. Have a go on the tots trail on the lower path, or head up to the logstickle course for bigger kids
