This full day course for adults led by Stuart Corbett, fomer Conservation Officer at Porton Down, is a comprehensive introduction to the identification of ground beetles. It will involve learning identification skills and use of microscopes in the morning followed by field work at Claughbane in the afternoon and the use of pitfall traps. Note there will be walking on uneven terrain required and transport from the town hall to the field work site would be helpful.
It is hoped that people will become encouraged to continue identifying beetles after the course so MWT can collect valuable data about our beetles.
