Let's make sure nature matters to our politicians

We are fortunate that here on the Isle of Man we have a wealth of natural spaces that form an important part of our heritage and everyday lives. Our Island's wildlife needs champions to protect it. Together through our collective voice we can all stand up for nature.

For the 2016 General Elections, the Trust highlighted three areas for our prospective MHKs to pursue and plan to continue to these discussions to make sure all our lives stay a little bit wild.

We have produced a series of information sheets detailing the wildlife issues relevant to each of the constituencies and we encourage our members to raise the importance of wildlife and habitats with your Members of the House of Keys.

In addition, Trust staff has been holding a series of encouraging meetings with a number of the candidates to discuss policies and the Trust's vision for the future.
