Job Vacancy - Communications Coordinator – Temporary/Part Time

We're pleased to announce a new paid opportunity for someone to join the team and help us grow Manx Wildlife Trust. This one year, part time contract is ideal for someone looking to gain a foothold in conservation and help protect Manx wildlife for the future.

Overall purpose

To assist the Marketing & Membership Manager in the delivery of Manx Wildlife Trust’s (MWT) communications plan, specifically: website, social media channels, email marketing and events.

Job role and responsibilities

Assisting with a variety of day to day responsibilities and duties, for example dealing with digital communications and both telephone and face to face contact with members and prospective members.

Specific roles

  • Website Development

Assist with developing the MWT website, creating content and dealing with enquiries.

  • Social Media

You will support the Marketing & Membership Manager with the development and delivery of MWT’s annual social media plan. Currently: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

  • Content Creation

Creation of varied digital content for use in all MWT digital channels.

  • Member Management & Recruitment

Help to attract, recruit and manage new and existing members through telephone and email communication (including regular e-newsletters) driving income generation and volunteering.

  • Member Recruitment Events

Assist with the planning and delivery of informational events and help to recruit new members.

Details of Placement

Length of employment
The post is for one year with an immediate start.

Working week
The role is part time amounting to two days, or 15 hours, per week. There is some flexibility around when the role is carried out. Some weekend and evening work may be required for specific events.

Location
The role is based at our Head Office at 7-8 Market Place, Peel, IM5 1AB but it may be necessary to attend events elsewhere on the Island.

Leave
There is a leave entitlement of 8 days booked through the line manager.
